It all started in January 2023 with a match! Cole visited Rio de Janeiro on a trip with friends, and what was supposed to be a short stay turned into something much bigger. After meeting each other, we knew we had found something special—not just in each other, but in the city itself. Cole made the decision to move to Rio from NYC, and just a month later, he was back. While apart, we spent hours on the phone every day, and when Cole returned, we started on a journey to be each other's best supporters.

In 2024, we traveled across Europe, South America, and the United States, making unforgettable memories along the way. One of the most magical moments was in New York City, when Cole got down on one knee and proposed. But that wasn’t the end of this story—back in Rio, at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, he proposed again in the same place Renata’s grandmother had been proposed to back in 1943!

After more than a year of living in Airbnbs—and with family—we’re finally settling down in Rio with our little dog, Maya. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you in the city where it all began!
